Rýchle fakty: Steny tohto kláštora stále uchovávajú 900 fragmentov pôvodných nástenných malieb z 19. storočia vrátane vzácnej freskovej techniky kombinujúcej olejomaľbu a temperu. Jeho dva hlavné zvony vážia 520 kg a 1 200 kg a každé ráno o 6:00 sa stále rozozvučia.
Zaujímavosti: Za hlavným oltárom sa skrýva malá podzemná kaplnka, prístupná len cez tajné dvere za ikonostasom. Steny kaplnky sú pokryté tisíckami mozaikových úlomkov vyrobených ručne mníchmi, ktorí prežili druhú svetovú vojnu, pričom žiadne dva kúsky mozaiky nie sú rovnaké.
