Rýchle fakty: Múzeum sa nachádza priamo nad jednou z najimpozantnejších riečnych roklín v Európe, kde sa Dunaj dramaticky zužuje a prediera sa cez Karpaty. Jeho vonkajšia časť vystavuje pravé úseky rímskej cesty vytesané do skál inžiniermi cisára Trajána pred takmer 2 000 rokmi.

Zaujímavosti: Obrovská rímska pamätná tabuľa, kamenný nápis vytesaný 50 metrov vysoko na útesoch nad Dunajom, ohlasuje Trajánov vojenský triumf prechádzajúcim lodiam. Môžete stáť na tom istom kamennom cestnom podklade, ktorý používali rímski legionári počas dáckych vojen, s hlbokými ryhami v skale, ktoré do nej dodnes vyrezali kolesá ich vozov.
