Rýchle fakty: Tento rozľahlý park s rozlohou 3 000 akrov je domovom najväčšieho srílanského lesa železného dreva a chráni vzácne endemické stromy, ktoré tu stoja celé stáročia. Názov sa prekladá ako "Národná ružová drevinová záhrada", hoci skutočným lákadlom je týčiaca sa ružová kremenná hora žiariaca pri východe slnka.
Zaujímavosti: Ružová kremenná hora je jedným z najväčších takýchto ložísk v Ázii, 600 miliónov rokov starým geologickým divom, ktorý sa mení z jemnej ružovej na hlboký koral, keď sa slnko pohybuje po oblohe. Návštevníci môžu pristúpiť priamo k odkrytému kremennému povrchu a dotknúť sa teplého, trblietavého kameňa, ktorý pôsobí takmer nadpozemsky pod vašimi prstami.
