Rýchle fakty: Cisár Hadrián navštívil Antalyu v roku 130 po Kr. a táto trojoblúková mramorová brána bola postavená na pamiatku jeho príchodu. Brána bola po stáročia skrytá pod mestskými hradbami, až kým v 50. rokoch 20. storočia starostlivý výkop neodhalil jej takmer dokonalý stav.
Zaujímavosti: Pozorne si prezrite dve veže po stranách brány: južná je pôvodná rímska stavba, zatiaľ čo severnú o stáročia neskôr prestavali seldžuckí Turci, čím vznikla neúmyselná časová kapsula dvoch ríš. Na zložitých kvetinových rezbách pozdĺž oblúkov sú stále viditeľné stopy pôvodnej farby, ktorá ich kedysi oživovala.
