Rýchle fakty: Pri prechádzke 2 000 rokov starými rímskymi kúpeľmi si prezriete artefakty pokrývajúce 25 000 rokov ľudskej histórie. Zbierka obsahuje sarkofág s najstarším známym vyobrazením vodného mlyna, revolučného vynálezu z 3. storočia nášho letopočtu.
Zaujímavosti: Na nádvorí múzea stojí rad zložito vyrezávaných sarkofágov, no jeden z nich vyniká: „Sarkofág plačúcich žien" zobrazuje 18 smútiacich postáv tak verne, že takmer počujete ich nárek ozývajúci sa kameňom. Každá žena nesie na tvári výrazný výraz smútku, vyrezaný s mierou emócie, aká je v starovekom pohrebnom umení zriedkavá.
