Rýchle fakty: Over 2,500 musical instruments from five centuries fill the galleries, including a guitar that belonged to Jimi Hendrix and Handel's personal harpsichord. The museum's collection started with a single donation of 470 instruments in the late 19th century and has grown to become one of the most comprehensive musical instrument collections on the planet.
Zaujímavosti: Most visitors walk right past the unassuming glass case holding a 1722 Stradivarius cello, one of only 63 surviving cellos made by the master, valued at over $20 million. You can actually hear recordings of many instruments being played through the museum's digital audio guide, transforming silent displays into a living concert hall of centuries-old sounds.
