Rýchle fakty: Sir John Soane's own 19th-century home became a museum by an act of Parliament he personally secured, guaranteeing it would stay exactly as he left it. The building holds over 30,000 architectural drawings and 30,000 books, plus a sarcophagus of Pharaoh Seti I that took three days to haul inside.
