Shah-i-Zinda
Najlepší čas na návštevu
Arrive right at 9 AM opening to experience the complex nearly empty and catch the low sun illuminating the blue tiles. Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) offer comfortable temperatures and clear skies that make the tiles pop.
Tipy na rozpočet
Entry costs around 40,000 som (about $4 USD) and no separate photo fee is required. The Samarkand City Pass does not currently include this site, but the ticket is cheap enough on its own.

O
Rýchle fakty: Úzka ulička lemovaná 44 nádherne obloženými mauzóleami tvorí jednu z najfotografovanejších ulíc v Strednej Ázii. Komplex je pomenovaný po Kusamovi ibn Abbasovi, bratrancovi proroka Mohameda, ktorého hrob má údajne moc vzkriesenia.
Zaujímavosti: Keď vstúpite za bránu, svet sa vytratí, ako kráčate medzi stenami pokrytými vyše 700 rokov neretušovanými tyrkysovými, kobaltovými a terakotovými dlaždicami. Každý zo 44 hrobov rozpráva príbeh prostredníctvom svojej glazovanej fasády, pričom ranné svetlo dopadá na kupoly v správnom uhle, takže geometrické vzory akoby sa trblietali a pohybovali.
Insiderské tipy
- Skip the guided group tours and go early to hear the tilework echo off the narrow walls in silence.
- The best photo spot is from the upper terrace looking down the corridor, especially in the first hour after sunrise.
- Dress respectfully with covered shoulders and knees, as active worship still takes place at the Kusam ibn Abbas shrine inside.
- Spend extra time at the Shadi Mulk Aka and Shirin Bika Aga mausoleums, where the tile mosaics are the most intricate in the complex.
