Visit in the morning (9:00-11:00) when shopkeepers light their forges and the light rakes across the whitewashed facades. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable walking weather; summer afternoons can be intensely hot on the exposed upper lanes.

Hızlı bilgiler: Osmanlı döneminden kalma pazar sokağı, kalenin altında dik bir yokuşu tırmanır; ahşap balkonlu badanalı taş dükkânlarda keçe qeleshe şapkalar, bakır eşyalar ve el dokuması halılar satılır. Yaklaşık 40 aile işletmesi dükkân, arnavut kaldırımlı sokaklar boyunca sıralanır ve birçoğu üç ya da dört kuşaktır devredilen atölyelerde faaliyet gösterir.

Öne çıkanlar: Arnavut erkeklerinin bir zamanlar her gün giydiği düz tepeli takkelerin içine hâlâ beyaz keçeyi kalıplayıp presleyen qeleshe şapka ustalarına dikkat edin; bu zanaatın kökleri 17. yüzyıla dayanır.
