Hızlı bilgiler: Kubbe sayısı aslında 81'dir, isminin ima ettiği gibi dokuz değil. Bina, 15. yüzyılda Türk-Bengalli mimar Han Cihan Ali tarafından inşa edilmiş olup, duvarlar hâlâ etkileyici bir şekilde sağlam duran yerel pişmiş tuğlalardan oluşmaktadır.
Öne çıkanlar: 81 kubbe, havadan bakıldığında bir satranç tahtasını andıran geometrik bir desenle düzenlenmiştir. İçeride güneş ışığı küçük pencere açıklıklarından süzülerek devasa tuğla sütunların üzerinde sakin, melankolik bir ışık oluşturur.

- Walk around the building to see the small niches and detailed terracotta decorations that many rush past.
- Take off your shoes at the entrance and bring a thin sock sole, as the stone floor can be cold.
- Visit first at around 8 o'clock in the morning to have the place almost entirely to yourself.
- The large artificial water basin next to the mosque is perfect for reflection photos, especially in low light.
