Hızlı bilgiler: Monks first settled this hilltop around 630 AD, and the complex has since survived Viking raids, a devastating 1880 fire, and three centuries as a military hospital. A baroque refectory ceiling still holds its original 17th-century painting, while the vaulted crypt below now hosts rotating exhibitions.
