Hızlı bilgiler: The museum holds over 150,000 artifacts spanning centuries of Georgian history, from prehistoric goldwork to Soviet-era memorabilia. Its archaeological collection includes some of the oldest human skulls found outside of Africa, dating back nearly 1.8 million years.

• Plan at least 45 minutes just for the archaeological hall on the ground floor , the gold collection alone deserves slow attention.
