Hızlı bilgiler: Carved entirely from reddish-gold sandstone, over 60 dancing figures adorn the temple's exterior walls in expressive poses. The temple gets its name not from any royal connection but from the local yellow-tinged stone called 'Rajarani' that gives it a honeyed glow at sunset.
Öne çıkanlar: Unlike most temples that dedicate walls to gods and goddesses, the outer panels here are dominated by celestial nymphs called 'nayikas' captured mid-dance, applying makeup, or even removing a thorn from her foot. These 64 graceful figures each strike a different pose, turning the temple into a frozen choreography of 11th-century Odishan life and beauty.
