Entry is free, since it is a public road. If you come from Tokyo, the Japan Rail Pass covers the train to Kawaguchiko Station, although to reach the tunnel you need the local bus in the area (about 200 yen per trip).

Hızlı bilgiler: Every autumn, more than 400 maple trees form a red and orange canopy over a stretch of road barely 250 meters long. The sunset light filters through the leaves and creates a luminous tunnel effect that attracts photographers from around the world.
Öne çıkanlar: Although the stretch of road takes only a few minutes to walk, the spectacle changes every week of November, going from greens to intense yellows and then to deep reds, with windows of perfect color that last only a few days. Drivers slow down to 10 km/h so as not to miss the swirls of leaves falling onto the wet asphalt.

- Arrive before 9:00 am to have the road almost empty and be able to photograph without people in the frame.
- Wear comfortable shoes, the stretch is short but the side sidewalks are narrow and fill up with slippery leaves.
- Go up to the Momiji Temple viewpoint to see the tunnel from above, the aerial perspective of the red canopy is spectacular.
- Avoid the weekends of late November, when pedestrian traffic becomes unbearably dense.
