Trakai is a small, safe lakeside town near Vilnius popular for its island castle. Tourist scams here are relatively minor, mostly centered around transport and dining near the castle. The main things to watch are unofficial rides from Vilnius and overpriced food and drink in the castle tourist zone.

1. Unsolicited airport drivers
Nasıl işler: Drivers approach arrivals inside Vilnius airport offering flat inflated rates to Trakai or Vilnius centre without a meter. Rates are often double the metered fare.

2. Castle zone menu markups

3. Poor rate exchange booths

4. Boat rental overcharges
