Stayed 3 nights, weather was perfect for hiking. The monastery is stunning, but the crowds at midday were overwhelming. Try early morning for peace.

Avoid eating near the main monastery square. Walk 5 minutes down the road for cheaper, tastier meals with way less tourists around.
Got caught in a rain shower but the views from the mountain made up for it. Food was a mixed bag, some spots pricey. 2 days is enough to feel the vibe.
If you take the cable car early morning you avoid most tourists. Also bring cash, small shops don’t always take cards.
