Hızlı bilgiler: Roma İmparatoru Hadrianus, MS 130 yılında Antalya'yı ziyaret etti ve bu üç kemerli mermer kapı onun gelişini anmak için inşa edildi. Kapı, 1950'lere kadar yüzyıllar boyunca şehir surlarının altında gizli kaldı ve özenli bir kazı çalışmasıyla neredeyse hiç bozulmamış halde gün yüzüne çıkarıldı.
Öne çıkanlar: Kapının iki yanındaki kulelere yakından bakın: güneydeki orijinal Roma yapısıyken, kuzeydeki yüzyıllar sonra Selçuklu Türkleri tarafından yeniden inşa edilerek iki imparatorluğun kazara bir araya geldiği bir zaman kapsülü oluşturmuştur. Kemerler boyunca uzanan ince çiçek oymalarında, onları bir zamanlar canlandıran orijinal boyanın izleri hâlâ görülebilir.

- The grooves worn into the marble road surface beneath the gate are actual Roman-era chariot tracks.
