Hızlı bilgiler: Üç apsis ve büyük bir merkezi kubbe, doğrudan yumuşak tüf taşına oyularak bir mağara katedralini andıran bir kilise oluşturmuştur. Buradaki freskler iki farklı dönemi kapsar; İkonoklazma döneminden kalma geometrik desenler, azizlerin daha sonraki canlı tasvirlerinin yanında yer alır.

- Wear closed-toe shoes with grip, as the stone floor is worn smooth and can be slippery near the altar area.
- Bring a small flashlight to see the upper fresco details, especially the ceiling paintings that are shadowed even midday.
- Visit the church first before exploring the cave houses across the street when crowds are thinner around 9 AM.
- The stone bench along the left wall was original seating for worshippers, sit there to appreciate the dome's scale.
