About
Hızlı bilgiler: Taş duvarların arasında, farklı dönemlere ait seramikler, mezar stelleri ve günlük eşyalar aynı çatı altında yan yana sergileniyor. Arkeologların kazılarda ortaya çıkardığı yazıtlar ve sikkeler, koridorlarda adım attıkça sizi geçmişin ayrıntılarına sürüklüyor.
Öne çıkanlar: Koridorun hafif nemli taş kokusu ve loş ışık, 2.000 yıllık mezar taşlarındaki oyma yüzeyleri yakından hissettiriyor. Rehberlerin anlattığına göre lahitlerden birindeki küçük gemi motifi, antik tüccarların rotalarını ve ticaret öykülerini gözünüzde canlandırıyor; sergide ayrıca 150'den fazla etnografik tekstil parçası sergileniyor.
Insider tips
- Wear comfortable shoes, galleries are compact and include stairs between floors.
- Ask at the desk about photography rules and current temporary exhibits before taking pictures.
- Go early or late afternoon to avoid school groups and get clearer views of display labels.
- Pair the visit with Sinop Castle and the harbor walk to make the short museum stop more rewarding.

4.0Visited late afternoon and it was crowded. Cheap entry but labels are sparse, a short guided tour would have made the visit worthwhile. (3 stars)
Arrived at 9am and had the place mostly to myself. Entrance fee is fair and the archaeological displays are excellent, though the ethnography rooms are small. (5 stars)
