Go between 9 and 11 AM, when the museum is empty and the temperature is cool. The winter months (November to March) are best for seeing the outdoor exhibits.
Budget tips
The entry fee is very low - only 5 dirhams (about ₹110) for adults and 2 dirhams for children. There is no free day, but since it is cheap, you do not need a pass.

Quick facts: Over 500 artifacts excavated from 5,000-year-old tombs are displayed here, including copper arrowheads and jewelry. The museum has three main galleries dedicated to archaeology, local culture, and geology, where you will also see a 2,000-year-old crocodile skull.
Highlights: One room contains a complete 2,000-year-old crocodile skeleton, evidence that crocodiles lived here when the area was marshy. A giant bronze cannon sitting on the museum roof, looted from 16th century Portuguese ships, will make you stop and stare.
