Public transport is reliable and honest, but watch for overpriced unlicensed taxis at airports and stations. The biggest practical risks are small-scale: bill padding, exchange booth rates, and tourist-menu markups.

1. Unlicensed drivers at airport
Kako funkcioniše: Drivers approach travelers inside the arrivals hall offering rides at inflated flat rates without a meter. They are not licensed Vienna taxis and fares can double or triple the official rate.

2. Tourist menu markup

8. Unticketed tram inspectors
