Istaknuto: A weathered bronze of Leif Erikson by Alexander Stirling Calder stands in the forecourt; the 3.6-meter figure was a gift from the United States and often invites close inspection of its worn plaque. Stand beneath the soaring nave during an organ recital and low frequencies from the 5,275-pipe instrument will make the floor tremble, so you can feel sound as much as hear it.
