Brze činjenice: Over 10,000 shops are packed under its colorful vaulted ceilings, making it one of the largest and oldest marketplaces in the Middle East. Each day, roughly 500,000 visitors and locals weave through its interconnected alleys, some of which date back over 400 years.
Istaknuto: Wander into the carpet section and you'll smell aged wool and silk before you see the piles of hand-knotted treasures stacked floor to ceiling. Sellers will roll out a 50-year-old Qashqai tribal carpet for you, pour a little glass of tea, and tell you the story woven into its pattern.
