Brze činjenice: Od 8 kilometara hodnika Demänovske pećine slobode, 2,1 kilometra je dostupno za posjetu, a ulaz se nalazi u 60 metara dubokom ponoru. Otkrivena je 1921. godine i od tada je jedna od najposjećenijih sigastih pećina u Slovačkoj, koju godišnje posjeti više od 200 000 turista.
Istaknuto: Jedna od najimpresivnijih dvorana pećine je 45 metara visoka Katedrala, gdje vitki sigasti stubovi koji vise s tako svijetle u svjetlu reflektora kao da su isklesani od dragog kamenja. Odraz kristalno čistih jezera i stalna temperatura od 16 °C stvaraju tako posebnu mikroklimu kakvu ne možeš naći nigdje drugdje.

- Put on a thick sweater even in summer, as the cave is a constant 6-7 degrees throughout.
- Photography is permitted even without a tripod, but flash does not bring out many formations nicely, so try to take advantage of the natural colored lighting.
- The last daily tour is usually less crowded than the morning time slots.
- The parking lot in front of the cave is free, but in the tourist season it is worth arriving early for the spaces.
