Brze činjenice: Three original Roman gates still punctuate the 3.5-kilometer circuit, with one showing visible battle scars from the 19th-century Napoleonic wars. The walls incorporate stones from earlier Iberian settlements, some weighing over two tons each, quarried by hand nearly 2,200 years ago.

Istaknuto: Walk the stretch near the Pretor Tower and you can still see Roman soldiers' graffiti scratched into the stone, traces of ancient dice games carved into paving blocks. The walls were built with a distinctive cyclopean masonry style using massive, irregular blocks that fit together without mortar, a technique the Romans adopted from the local Iberian tribes they conquered.
