About

Brze činjenice: Ogromna statua ležećeg Bude, duga oko 46 metara, oduzima dah, a zlatna stopala su ukrašena majčinim biserima i 108 simboličnih znakova.

Istaknuto: Zamislite ogromnu zlatnu figuru dugu 46 metara i visoku 15 metara, čije tabane sjaje zahvaljujući majčinim školjkama u 108 inkrustiranih prizora kad sunčeva svjetlost uđe u dvoranu.

Insider tips

  • Dress respectfully, cover shoulders and knees, and carry a light scarf for hotter days.
  • Get there at opening to beat tour buses and the midday heat.
  • For unbroken full-length photos, use the north viewing platform facing the Reclining Buddha's head.
  • Book a session at the Wat Pho Thai Traditional Massage school on-site, payments are usually cash and bookings are done in person.

Arrived at 8am with almost no line. 200 THB entry was worth it for the Reclining Buddha and murals, avoid the touristy stalls.

Came at 3pm and it was packed with tour groups, ticket line took 30 minutes. 200 THB felt steep, the Reclining Buddha is stunning but bring patience.
