Space Needle
Best time to visit
Early morning or late afternoon for thinner crowds and clearer views, and sunset for dramatic light though expect more visitors; winter can deliver snowy peak views but shorter daylight windows.
Budget tips
Adult tickets are typically around $35-40, kids and seniors have reduced fares; no regular free days. Save by buying timed-entry tickets online, using Seattle CityPASS or Go City, or choosing a Space Needle + Chihuly combo for a discount.

About
Brze činjenice: Rises 605 feet above the skyline, with the top-level observation deck sitting around 520 feet to deliver a sweeping 360-degree panorama. High-speed elevators whisk visitors to the top in about 41 seconds, so you reach the skyline before you've finished a coffee.
Istaknuto: Step onto the observation level's Loupe, the world's first rotating glass floor, and feel your stomach drop as cars and pedestrians shrink beneath the spinning glass. On clear days you can pick out Mount Rainier's snowy peak, the shimmering Puget Sound, and the jagged Olympic and Cascade ranges, the light changing colors across the panorama as the sun moves.
Insider tips
- Wear a windbreaker, the top deck can be cool and breezy even on warm days.
- For skyline photos, stand on the north side for downtown and Mount Rainier, and the south side for Elliott Bay shots.
- Arrive at opening or after 8:30pm in summer to avoid peak midday lines, and use timed-entry to reduce waiting.
- Skip the glass-floor line if heights bother you; the outer observation ring still offers excellent views.

4.3Bought a timed noon entry on a Saturday, lines were moderate. The elevator ride and observation deck were worth the cost for photos.
Went late afternoon and it was busy but moved fast. City and mountain views were great, but the souvenir shop felt overpriced.
Visited at 9am on a Tuesday and had almost no line. Panoramic views are stunning, the top-floor cafe felt worth the extra ticket.
Arrived around sunset and the crowds were hectic. The view is nice but the elevator wait and pricey entry made it less enjoyable.
