Hurtige fakta: Under det antikke glas ligger 2000 kvadratmeter farverige mosaikker, de fleste bevaret i deres oprindelige form fra det 4. århundrede. Basilikaens grundplan er hele 83 meter lang, hvilket gør den til en af de største tidlige kristne kirker på Balkanhalvøen.

- Be sure to wear non-slip slippers on the glass platform. The floor can be slippery, and you will not have to spend money on renting them.
- Take photos without flash. The colors of the mosaics are most vivid in soft natural light.
- Avoid the midday hours between July and August, when the interior is quite stuffy despite the air conditioning.
