Budgettips
The main entrance ticket is about 45 yuan. The two main attractions, Dahekou and Lianhai Lake, are ticketed separately. It is recommended to visit Dahekou in the morning and take a boat through the reed marshes at Lianhai Lake in the afternoon. Buying a combined ticket is more cost-effective.

Hurtige fakta: Bosten-søen er Kinas største indre ferskvandssø med et areal på 1228 kvadratkilometer. Hvert år raster over 200 fuglearter her, herunder de sjældne reliktmåge og sortsvaleklire.
Højdepunkter: Om vinteren er søen frosset til med op til en meter tyk is, og lokale fiskere hugger huller i isen for at fiske. Man kan også se kameler trække slæder over isen. Om sommeren gemmer der sig en kilometerlang træbro i rørskoven ved søens vestbred, hvor vandet under ens fødder er krystalklart, og rørene er højere end en mand, som at gå gennem en grøn labyrint.

- The best photo spot is at the Dahekou viewing platform. The light is softest at 4-5 PM, with the sparkling lake surface set against the distant Tianshan snow peaks.
- Be sure to take a boat deep into the reed marshes. On the islet in the middle of the lake, you can feed flocks of seagulls. The scenery here is completely different from what you see on the shore.
- There are many mosquitoes in summer, so bring mosquito repellent and wear long pants and long sleeves. If you come in winter for ice fishing, wear a thick down jacket and slip-resistant shoes.
- The restaurants inside the scenic area are overpriced and the food is only so-so. It is recommended to bring your own food or have breakfast in downtown Korla before setting out.
