Højdepunkter: On a quiet Thursday night, you might spot the elderly "Kotel Ladies" who have been cleaning the prayer nooks for decades, gently removing notes with ivory sticks so none are ever thrown away. Twice a year, the buried prayers are collected and buried in a ceremonial process on the Mount of Olives, a tradition that's continued unbroken for centuries.

- Men and women pray in separate sections, but women can access the men's side from the upper platform for a wider view of the entire plaza.
