Posjetite Nacionalni park Qobustan

Parim aeg külastamiseks

Late afternoon (around 3-4 PM) when the low sun casts long shadows that make the carvings pop out from the rock. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable hiking weather across the hills.

Eelarvenõuanded

Entry is about 10 AZN (roughly $6 USD) plus a small fee for the museum. Skip the overpriced taxis from Baku and take bus 195 from the city center instead, which drops you at the gate for pennies.

Soovitatav

Teave

Kiired faktid: Over 6,000 ancient rock carvings spread across three hills tell stories of daily life from 20,000 years ago. Roman soldiers left a Latin inscription in 123 AD, proving this spot was a crossroads of civilizations long before Baku existed.

Esiletõstmised: One boulder features a carving of a giant long-necked creature that some believe could be a Caspian dinosaur, something you won't see anywhere else in the world. Local musicians still play the ancient single-stringed "balaban" flute here, and the natural acoustics between the rocks create an eerie, beautiful echo that carries across the hills.

Sisekujunduse nõuanded

  • Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes with grip, the volcanic rock is sharp and uneven underfoot.
  • Bring water and a sun hat, there is zero shade across the hills and summer temperatures hit 40°C.
  • Visit the small on-site museum first to understand the petroglyph symbols before hiking up to the rocks.
  • Skip the touristy souvenir stalls at the entrance and instead buy authentic dried fruits or tea from the local village shop down the road.

Meie #1 reisinõuanne

Kas oled kuulnud tasuta jalutuskäikudest?

Pärast reisimist üle 30 riigi on üks asi, mida sooviksin, et keegi oleks mulle esimesest päevast peale öelnud, ja see muutis täielikult minu linnakogemust.

Tasuta jalutuskäigud. Jah, tõesti tasuta. Kaarti ei ole vaja. Püüniseid pole.

Kohalik giid, 2-3 tundi

Peamised vaatamisväärsused, peidetud pärlid, kohalikud lood

100% jootraha põhine

Giidid teenivad ainult jootraha, seega annavad nad parima
