Teave

Kiired faktid: You can walk among some of the oldest surviving wooden buildings on Earth, still standing after more than 1,300 years. A remarkable array of early Buddhist sculptures and lacquered interiors includes works by craftsmen like Tori Busshi, and many pieces are designated national treasures.

Esiletõstmised: Stand beneath the five-story pagoda, about 32 meters tall, and notice how the cool scent of aged cypress and slanting light make the carved eaves feel almost alive. Step into the main hall and the gilt-bronze Shaka Triad by Tori Busshi, dated 623, greets you at roughly human scale, the faint sheen of original gilding catching the light in a way that still surprises visitors.

Sisekujunduse nõuanded

  • Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes; paths are gravel and some buildings require stepping up into halls.
  • Arrive at opening to photograph the five-story pagoda from the south lawn without crowds.
  • See outdoor halls first, then visit the Treasure House later when you want to sit and study displays indoors.
  • Observe no-photography and silence rules inside halls, and bring a light jacket for cool, shaded areas.

Meie #1 reisinõuanne

Kas oled kuulnud tasuta jalutuskäikudest?

Pärast reisimist üle 30 riigi on üks asi, mida sooviksin, et keegi oleks mulle esimesest päevast peale öelnud, ja see muutis täielikult minu linnakogemust.

Tasuta jalutuskäigud. Jah, tõesti tasuta. Kaarti ei ole vaja. Püüniseid pole.

Kohalik giid, 2-3 tundi

Peamised vaatamisväärsused, peidetud pärlid, kohalikud lood

100% jootraha põhine

Giidid teenivad ainult jootraha, seega annavad nad parima
