Kiired faktid: The five-story brick building at 97 Orchard Street housed over 7,000 immigrants from more than 20 nations between 1863 and 1935. Its apartments were never updated, so visitors see peeling wallpaper, cast-iron stoves, and narrow hallways exactly as residents left them.
