If you want authentic Armenian cuisine with local prices, avoid downtown restaurants and try cafes in the Kond district instead. Also, always carry some cash, many places don’t take cards.
For getting around Yerevan, use marshrutkas instead of taxis. They’re way cheaper and run frequently, just know your route in advance since drivers don’t speak much English. Saves a lot on transport costs.
Cool vibe, kind locals but language can be tough to navigate for English speakers. Transportation is a bit confusing, taxis often don’t use meters. Natural scenery is amazing, rain on third day was a bummer.
Affordable place but watch where you eat near tourist hubs. Prices jump and quality drops. Local markets have fresh produce way cheaper and more tasty. Overall a good trip, but not a luxury destination.
Was drawn by the monasteries and countryside. Tatev cable car was a highlight, stunning views! Some roads were bumpy though. Armenia felt like a hidden gem with deep history, I’d visit again for sure.
