Faits rapides: Shimmering at the base of the Chattogram hill tracts, this freshwater lake stretches nearly 636 meters in length and was originally excavated to supply water to the nearby cantonment. A walking path circles the entire perimeter, offering different vantage points as the sunlight shifts across the water throughout the day.

Points forts: On quiet weekday mornings, the lake's surface turns completely mirror-still, reflecting the surrounding tropical hills with such clarity that the horizon line between water and sky disappears entirely. Local fishermen sometimes paddle out in small wooden boats at dawn, casting nets while kingfishers dive inches away, creating a scene that feels suspended in time.
