Faits rapides: Le Meir est la rue commerçante la plus animée d'Anvers, s'étendant sur environ 700 mètres entre la Groenplaats et la Franklin Rooseveltplaats. La rue est bordée de façades néoclassiques du XIXe siècle, dont l'ancien Palais royal qui abrite aujourd'hui un centre commercial.

Points forts: Le bâtiment d'angle au 78 Meir, la Haus Hufenslag, présente un balcon orné en fer forgé qui a survécu à deux guerres mondiales tandis qu'une grande partie du pâté de maisons environnant a été reconstruite. Passez devant le centre commercial Stadsfeestzaal et levez les yeux vers le plafond en coupole de verre, un magnifique chef-d'œuvre architectural du XIXe siècle qui s'étend sur tout l'intérieur de l'arcade.
