Faits rapides: Le jardin botanique possède un pavillon de verre inspiré des serres parisiennes, long d'environ 42 mètres et haut de 17 mètres. Il abrite plus de 210 espèces de plantes endémiques de la région de l'Araucaria, dans le sud-est du Brésil.
Points forts: Le pavillon sert aussi de bibliothèque botanique et de bibliothèque verte, où l'on peut s'asseoir parmi les plantes exotiques. Dans le jardin se trouve une sculpture à l'effigie du phénix, symbole de la renaissance après les tentatives infructueuses de créer le jardin par le passé.
