Faits rapides: Le commerce de la laine des estancias de Patagonie a donné lieu à la construction, et une violente tempête durant les années 40 a détruit le pont en bois d'origine. La réplique actuelle, longue de 125 mètres, est assemblée en bois massif de lenga local et accueille les piétons depuis 2021.
Points forts: On entend le pont respirer avec la vague, car les poutres sont laissées avec de petites fentes, pour que l'eau et l'air circulent librement sous les pieds. Par jour clair, les blanches Torres del Paine, à plus de 40 kilomètres, semblent si proches qu'on pourrait les toucher de la main tendue.

- Bring a windproof jacket and a secured hat, as gusts from the fjord reach up to 80 km/h even on a clear day.
- Plan your photo session for the west side before sunset, when the peaks turn pink and the water becomes coppery.
- Arrive early in the morning before 9:00, when the cruise groups have not yet flooded the path.
- Do not go only to the pier, combine it with the Cerro Mirador viewpoint for a panorama over the entire bay.
