Faits rapides: Des fresques médiévales du XIVe siècle décorent le plafond de l'église, cachées pendant des siècles sous un badigeon avant d'être redécouvertes. Cette église de village danoise a été construite à une époque où les agriculteurs locaux payaient leurs dîmes en beurre et en céréales, un système qui a financé la construction originale.
Points forts: Levez les yeux vers le plafond du chœur où une fresque vieille de 700 ans montre un diable étonnamment joyeux se faire déjouer par un saint, avec la peinture médiévale d'origine encore visible. La chaire sculptée du XVIe siècle de l'église présente quatre apôtres dont les visages, selon les habitants, ont été modelés d'après de véritables agriculteurs de Billund du XVIe siècle.
