Faits rapides: Le château s'étend sur près de 3 hectares et possède un mur d'enceinte de plus de 5 mètres d'épaisseur à certains endroits. Il fut autrefois une importante forteresse frontalière entre la Suède et la Russie, avec une riche histoire de batailles et de jeux de pouvoir.
Points forts: À l'intérieur du château se trouve une voûte du XVIIe siècle avec des peintures originales qui captent la lumière d'une manière magique. Une fois par an, le château s'anime avec des marchés médiévaux où l'on peut entendre les épées s'entrechoquer et sentir l'odeur du pain frais.
