Faits rapides: Les ruines du temple s'élèvent à environ 30 mètres au-dessus du terrain environnant et comptent parmi les plus grands édifices sacrés médiévaux des pays baltes. Fait intéressant, la tour devait à l'origine servir de tour de guet avec vue sur tout Tartu.
Points forts: Lors de la visite, on peut découvrir les anciens remparts et le sarcophage unique de l'évêque Hermann, ce qui confère au lieu une touche médiévale particulière. Ce qui est le plus enchanteur, c'est le panorama depuis le sommet de la tour qui, au coucher du soleil, colore les briques rouges en doré.
