Faits rapides: Patinez à 1 035 mètres, où l'air fin et vif rend chaque tour plus rapide et plus froid que dans les patinoires de plaine. La glace y a accueilli les matchs de hockey des tout premiers Jeux olympiques d'hiver de 1924, et l'équipe locale des Pionniers évolue encore aujourd'hui dans le championnat élite français.
Points forts: Les soirs de match, les cloches à vache résonnent dans les tribunes si fort qu'on sent la vibration remonter à travers la glace fraîchement refaite sous vos lames. Entre les tiers-temps, les supporters sortent sur la terrasse pour se réchauffer les mains et regarder les plus hauts sommets granitiques virer au rose doré, puis reviennent en courant avant la fin de la refonte de la glace.
