Faits rapides: Environ 1 100 animaux répartis sur à peu près 200 espèces appellent ces lieux leur maison, s'étendant sur plus de 75 hectares. La catastrophe des inondations de 2015 a remodelé l'histoire du zoo, certains animaux nageant littéralement dans les rues de la ville avant d'être récupérés.
Points forts: Après l'inondation de 2015, les soigneurs ont dressé les prédateurs survivants par renforcement positif, et plusieurs ours montent désormais volontairement sur des balances et présentent leurs pattes pour des prises de sang. La fierté de lions blancs, l'une des rares de la région du Caucase, a accueilli deux lionceaux nés sur place depuis la reconstruction.
