Faits rapides: La place du marché abrite le Roland de Brême, une statue en grès de 5,47 mètres de haut symbolisant la liberté et le droit de marché depuis 1404. L'hôtel de ville impressionne par sa façade Renaissance de la Weser vieille de plus de 600 ans et est inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO depuis 2004.
