Faits rapides: S'élevant à 73 mètres de haut, c’est l’une des structures les plus hautes du pays et elle est visible depuis presque partout dans la capitale. Son design est inspiré des coulées de lave basaltique d’Islande, donnant à l’extérieur une apparence marquée par des marches.
Points forts: La montée en ascenseur jusqu’à la tour d’observation offre une vue panoramique à 360 degrés, des montagnes enneigées jusqu’à l’océan Atlantique. Au sommet, un magnifique orgue de 15 tonnes domine l’intérieur de l’église, réputé pour son son riche et son design complexe réalisé par des artisans islandais.
