Faits rapides: L'un des plus grands opéras d'Europe accueille environ 1 400 personnes sous un dôme aérien et un plafond fresqué qui semble presque cinématographique. On remarque encore le gigantesque escalier en marbre de Carrare et les ornements en bronze qui donnent au foyer un silence théâtral avant les représentations.
Points forts: Entrez dans la salle et vous sentirez l'air vibrer, les gradins en fer à cheval enveloppant environ 1 400 sièges en velours cramoisi rehaussés de feuilles d'or. Une anecdote amusante : les cinéastes ont utilisé la salle pour les scènes finales du Parrain III en 1990, vous pouvez donc reconnaître les mêmes rideaux rouges et les mêmes angles de balcon du film en levant les yeux.
