It is best to come in the morning before 10 AM, before the tourist groups arrive and while the weather is most pleasant for a walk. On weekdays, you will have the entire place almost all to yourself.

Entry to the Port Royal museum costs about 10 USD per person, and on Saturdays there is a discount for locals. If you plan to visit multiple landmarks, the combined package with Fort Charles is more cost-effective.

Faits rapides: Nekada najbogatiji grad u britanskim kolonijama na Zapadu, Port Royal je 1692. godine progutao potres i cunami za samo nekoliko minuta. Danas veći deo grada leži pod morem, a vekovima kasnije ronioci još izvlače zlatnike i artefakte sa njegovih potopljenih ulica.

Points forts: Sous les vagues silencieuses de la baie se cache la seule cité entièrement préservée du XVIIe siècle au monde, avec des bâtiments restés intacts depuis l'instant où la mer les a engloutis. Une plongée à seulement 12 mètres de profondeur révèle des murs de brique, des bouteilles de rhum et des morceaux de porcelaine qui appartenaient à des pirates et des marchands il y a trois siècles.
