Check out the Devil's Museum early in the morning to avoid crowds and get free entry on certain weekdays. Plus, use a local SIM card for easy navigation and cheaper data.
Loved the cozy vibes in Kaunas, the old town is charming. Weather was kinda chilly in spring but manageable. Planned 3 days and felt just right.
Get a Vilnius-Kaunas intercity bus ticket in advance online, cheaper that way. Also, avoid eating on Laisves Alėja, small cafes two blocks away have better food at better prices.
Food scene is a bit hit or miss. Had some amazing local dishes but also some overpriced tourist traps near the main square. Watch your budget.
Not sure Kaunas is a place for everyone, it's quieter than expected and some parts feel a bit rundown. Great for a chill weekend though if you like calm cities.
