Faits rapides: Sur la surface s'étend le plus haut lac navigable du monde à une altitude d'environ 3812 mètres. L'eau est si claire qu'on peut observer les poissons colorés ainsi que les îles flottantes traditionnelles faites de roseaux.
Points forts: Les îles flottantes des Uros sont le domicile de gens qui vivent encore aujourd'hui comme leurs ancêtres il y a 500 ans, avec des sabots et des villages flottants construits. La célèbre énorme fusée d’eau pesant plus de 150 tonnes fut jadis le sujet de grandes légendes maritimes et du folklore local.
