Faits rapides: The building that once housed the Slave Trade in Lagos was the first official slave market in Europe. The space shows how the city played a central role in the slave trade during the 15th and 16th centuries.
Points forts: When visiting, you will see a replica of the prison where slaves were kept before being sent to the New World. The museum offers interactive panels that retell detailed stories of the individuals taken prisoner and the trade routes used.
